Snow Days-- No. Snow WEEK!

Our one day of snow turned into a snow event!  Allyson was able to enjoy some of it before her cold/ears wouldn't take any more.  While she recovers, we are enjoying the snow mostly from inside (and the rides to the doctor's office!).  All of these pictures were taken from within walking distance of our house. (None of them are from up in the mountains!)

School is canceled for tomorrow again.  We haven't been at school for 9 days.  At least we are warm and safe.  :)

Anansi- a trickster tale

Hysterical conversation with Allyson tonight.  She wanted to read the story "Anansi and the moss covered rock."  When I read the title, she told me his name was really "Nancy."  Apparently still from Africa.  There was no convincing her that his name was really Anansi!  I was rolling with laughter!  We had to read a different story I was laughing so hard.
