Today was an Allyson and Mommy kind of day. We started by making a birthday card for a friend, then went to the Y to swim. Allyson was super excited to swim with just Mommy and it wasn't even swimming lesson day! She blew bubbles, put her head under, used a noodles to float on her back, and jumped off the side without holding Mommy's hands.
After swimming (which was AWESOME!) we had a play date with Simon. Then we went to the library to drop off some videos and pick up a few more. The librarian had to reactivate my library card (Dave usually does the checking out at this library. My card is still active at our local library.). Apparently Allyson is old enough for her OWN LIBRARY CARD!!! She helped me fill in the application by spelling her name and telling me her birth date. She even got to pick out her own card. She choose one with an octopus on it. It is really quite darling. In addition, Allyson got a red certificate from the librarian for getting her own library card!

Allyson used her new card to check out "The Flea's Sneeze." We had read this book a month ago when Kaitlyn ordered it. Allyson was asking if we could read it again so we had to find it at the library. All totaled, we checked out 5 new books and 3 new "Signing Time" videos.

After all the excitement and reading all our new books, Allyson fell right asleep for her nap! One tired kiddo!!
